Goodbye........

Goodbye,
Its the final word we say.
But why now?
Goodbye is too far away

Because life,
With its unexpected twists and turns
Never requires a solemn goodbye..
All that matters is now.

An occasional walk down memory lane
The nostalgic memories we savoured together still linger in my head
It all seems like it happened just yesterday
And that today is so far from that "yesterday"

The wonderful experiences,
The ups and downs
It seems all too real..
But is it just a dream........

Don't wake me then,
To a tomorrow which is lifeless and no longer as sweet as "yesterday"

To the year that was....
